MITCH LEVISON first studied pottery in Hiroshima, Japan, learning with various Japanese artists. After returning to the States from directing the Physical Education Program at Lehman/CUNY-Hiroshima College, he continued his studies with such master potters as Harriet Ross, Karen Karnes, Michael Simon, Peter Pinnel, Lisa Stinson, Woody Hughes and Leah Leitson, among others.
Working in high-fire stoneware, with slips and uniquely conceived glazes, he has widely exhibited his contemporary utilitarian pottery in the New York tri-state area.

Mitch's studio and home are in New City, New York and he is a member of the Hudson River Potters.
